salam kemesraan,

I have something to say about our studying system, we use Roman letters in Bahasa Malaysia and also in English, so student tent to get confuse to defer the spelling, For example(English - Inglish) Both has same sound but deferent in language. In my case, I still get confuse very often in spelling after so many years of learning both Bahasa Malaysia and English. For me Bahasa Malaysia is not a problem but often confuse with English because of the Roman letters that we use for both. Its OK as long working as a government servant but life get tough with private company. Malaysians private company seldom use English as they're communications what more with foreign companies?

There will be no problem to countries like Japan, Taiwan and other developed country, because they never use Roman for they're language. This will make them master in English language very easily without any confuse. So only solution to our studying system is to concentrate in one language system instead of two. I am not saying we should not studying more then one language but we must concentrate on language that have value most. For example Singapore, In Singapore English is they're first language but its a compulsory for every race to study they're own mother languages. From this every identity and language of all race have been preserved.

terima kasih pak cik.

its a direct translation from english to malay was the cause of the problem. It should have been thought/constructed in malay in the mind to explain the nature rather than translating it direct from english.

why not explain this way?

why not explain this way? "graviti menarik epal ke bumi".

as for this “Segi tiga sudut menentang segi lurus darjah tak sama.” i need to see the diagram. Maybe the description given is flawed.

Below is something to ponder.....

Samy Velu in his usual malay indian tone (not meant to degrade indians in malaysia) reported as saying: "Setelah angkasawan kita 10 hari meninggal dunia, kini dia selamat dikebumi".

So, whose fault is it, the language or us...??

So your year was the first batch of Form 1 for Kolej?

So in essence, you're saying that the policy of switching from English to BM as the medium of instruction is mostly at fault for your not being as astronaut?

Are you also tying the current switch back to BM in the teaching of maths and science will result in similar scenarios such as the one you experienced?
